Your adventure begins in Marrakech, where you will set out early in a private 4x4, crossing the scenic Atlas Mountains and passing through traditional Berber villages. Along the way, you will stop for a relaxing lunch in a local restaurant before continuing toward the south. By evening, you will arrive at the desert gateway near M’Hamid El Ghizlane and settle into your oasis camp. As the sun sets over the dunes, enjoy the serenity of the landscape before gathering for a cozy dinner beneath a starlit sky.
After breakfast, your camel caravan awaits to lead you deeper into the Sahara. The slow, rhythmic pace of the trek allows you to fully absorb the vastness of the dunes and the silence of the desert. At midday, you will pause for a picnic-style lunch in a shaded area before continuing toward Arigat Ait Ounir, an ancient caravan resting point. Upon arrival, a rustic camp is prepared, and as night falls you will share an authentic dinner and experience the breathtaking clarity of the desert night sky.
The third day carries you further into the heart of the Sahara, following hidden trails toward Zahar, often regarded as the most spiritual and enchanting part of the desert. The journey offers time for reflection as you cross golden dunes and pause for lunch in the midst of untouched landscapes. By evening, you reach Zahar, where the horizon opens to a spectacular sunset. After a traditional dinner, the night is devoted to stargazing, music, and the profound silence of the desert, making this an unforgettable highlight of the journey.
After a final breakfast in the desert, a 4x4 vehicle returns you to the oasis camp where you can refresh and reflect before beginning the long but scenic drive back to Marrakech. Stops along the way allow time for lunch and photographs of the varied landscapes. By evening, you arrive in Marrakech, carrying with you the memories of sunsets, starlit skies, and the timeless spirit of the Sahara.
