The journey begins with departure from Marrakech by private bus, taking you through the breathtaking Tishka mountain pass. Along the way, there will be rest stops and opportunities to take photos before enjoying lunch at a designated stop. Upon arrival at M’Hamid El Ghizlane, known as "The Gate of the Desert," you will be welcomed with a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony and an orientation with Hamza. The evening features a delightful dinner under the stars with authentic Moroccan dishes, followed by an overnight stay in the peaceful oasis camp.
After breakfast, the adventure continues as you embark on a camel caravan journey into the vast desert. A four-hour trek through the dunes leads to Aricat Et Onier, a historic resting place for desert caravans, where you will pause for lunch and relaxation. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the serene beauty of the desert before an evening filled with music, storytelling, and the experience of baking traditional sand bread. The night is spent in a mobile camp, surrounded by the tranquility of the desert.
Following breakfast, the trek resumes through historical trade route sites, passing by what was once the largest desert market, connecting Morocco to Timbuktu. After three hours of walking, the journey reaches Zahar, a remote and untouched place known for its powerful energy and complete isolation from modern distractions. Here, you will have lunch and take in the breathtaking views from the sand dunes at sunset. The evening includes a traditional desert dinner, music around the fire, storytelling, and the unique experience of cooking bread in the sand. The night is spent in private tents or sleeping under the stars.
This day is dedicated to fully experiencing the magic of Zahar. Activities include sand baths for relaxation, meditation, and connecting with the energy of the desert. You will learn traditional nomadic survival skills, such as cooking desert food on fire. As the sun sets, a candlelit camp setting creates a peaceful atmosphere, accompanied by live music after dinner. The night is spent once again in the mobile camp, under the clear desert sky.
After breakfast, the journey continues with a three-hour walk to Bosnina, a historic oasis where nomads have gathered for centuries. This beautiful location provides the perfect setting for lunch and relaxation. As night falls, you will share ideas and cultural stories around a warm fire, enhancing the connection with the nomadic way of life. The night is spent in the mobile camp, embraced by the tranquility of the desert.
The return trek leads back to the original oasis camp, where lunch and a period of rest await. In the afternoon, you will visit a 600-year-old Kasbah, an architectural marvel of the region. As a special surprise, a traditional hot bath experience is arranged for relaxation and rejuvenation. The final evening in the desert features a celebratory dinner with music, offering a chance to reflect on the journey before spending one last night in the oasis camp.
After breakfast, the moment of farewell arrives as the private bus prepares for the journey back to Marrakech. The return trip includes a lunch stop and opportunities to take commemorative photos along the way. By evening, the journey concludes at the original departure point, marking the end of an unforgettable desert retreat.
