Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Moroccan Sahara with this unique yoga and desert retreat. Guided by Hamza of Sahara Secrets Discovery, the journey combines yoga, cultural exploration, camel trekking, stargazing, and nomadic experiences. Rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul while exploring the timeless traditions of the desert.
The journey begins in Marrakech, where a private bus picks you up at a central meeting point. Travel through the breathtaking Tishka mountain pass, stopping along the way for photos and a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, arrive in M’Hamid El Ghizlane, “The Gate of the Desert,” and be welcomed at the oasis camp with a traditional Moroccan tea ceremony. Enjoy a peaceful evening watching the sunset over the dunes, followed by a cozy dinner under the stars. Overnight stay is at the oasis camp, surrounded by the serenity of the desert.
After breakfast, embark on a camel trek deeper into the desert. Walk through the golden dunes, immersing yourself in the aesthetics and silence of the Sahara. Pause for a picnic lunch before continuing to Arigat Ait Ounir, an historic resting place for ancient desert caravans. Enjoy a magical sunset, an evening of music, and a traditional dinner. Overnight accommodation is in a mobile camp under a starlit sky.
Begin the day with breakfast at the mobile camp, then continue your camel caravan through hidden desert trails, passing historical landmarks such as former trade routes between Morocco and Timbuktu. After approximately three hours, arrive at Zahar, a place renowned for its calm energy and pristine natural beauty. Enjoy lunch, watch the sunset over towering dunes, and share dinner by the fire accompanied by music and desert storytelling. Overnight is in private tents or under the stars.
Spend the full day in Zahar, a spiritual haven of the Sahara. Engage in meditation, sand baths, and exercises to connect with the energy of the desert. Learn traditional desert survival techniques, participate in cooking desert food over an open fire, and enjoy musical evenings by candlelight. Witness a spectacular sunrise and end the day with a peaceful night in your mobile camp, fully immersed in the desert atmosphere.
After breakfast, set out on foot with the desert caravan to Bosnina. Walk through scenic dunes and natural landscapes, pausing for lunch along the way. Bosnina is a historic oasis and traditional meeting place for nomads, making it an ideal location for the mobile camp. In the evening, share ideas and cultural stories around a warm fire, enjoying dinner and overnight accommodation in a candle-lit mobile camp.
Begin the day with breakfast in Bosnina, then trek back to the original oasis camp. After arriving, enjoy lunch and some rest before visiting the oldest Kasbah in the oasis, over 600 years old. The day includes a hot bath for relaxation, followed by dinner and an evening of music. Overnight stay is at the oasis camp.
After breakfast, bid farewell to the desert and board the private bus for the journey back to Marrakech. Along the way, stop for lunch and take commemorative photos of the stunning landscapes. Arrive at the original starting point in Marrakech, concluding an unforgettable Sahara adventure.
